Our Managing Director has been elected to the Fire Industry Association Services Council

Steph Jones | 10th December 2024

We're excited to announce that our Managing Director, Liam Pesket, has been elected to the Fire Industry Association's Services  Council. This prestigious appointment once again underscores SAFE I.S.'s commitment to advancing fire safety standards.

The FIA Services Council represents the companies which design, install, commission and maintain fire detection and alarm systems and fire extinguishing products and systems.

The Council’s key role is to present the collective views of this sector of the industry, including negotiation and discussion with the government and other external bodies.

Liam's Thoughts:
I am incredibly honoured to announce that I have been successfully elected to the Fire Industry Association Services Council.

Having taken place my first council meeting, I'm excited to work with the council to represent the collective views of companies that design, install, commission & maintain fire detection & alarm systems and fire extinguishing products and systems.

Having been in the fire safety industry, working for Safe I.S. Ltd, for over 16 years from engineering apprentice to Director Level I believe I have a unique insight that can assist the council with its aims.

I'm incredibly grateful for the support and trust of the FIA members who voted for me, your confidence in my ability to represent our industry is truly humbling. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there’s anything you would like me to bring to the discussion forum during my term.

In addition to this appointment, our Business Development Manager was also voted onto the Fire Risk Assessment Council, and we are extremely proud of both appointments.

At SAFE I.S., we're proud to support industry initiatives that enhance fire safety. We believe Liam & Jack's extensive expertise and unwavering dedication to fire safety make them an invaluable asset to the Council and we look forward to seeing the results of their works over the coming years.
